On 31 October in Amsterdam, the itinerant Cajal Encounters Chair will take place — a unique forum for dialogue between Spain and the Netherlands around the latest frontiers of neuroscience. Organized by CENL and the Embassy of Spain in the Netherlands, the event will bring together leading researchers, institutions, and industry representatives to address key challenges and opportunities in neurotechnology, neuro-rights, and neuro-AI.
The program will feature an institutional opening, a keynote lecture by Prof. Eduardo Fernández Jove, expert and public roundtables with leading Dutch and Spanish scientists such as Prof. Cyriel Pennartz and Prof. Pieter Roelfsema, and a closing reception showcasing selected pieces from our SCIENTIA NeuroArt exhibition inspired by Ramón y Cajal, created in collaboration with Spanish neuroscientists in the Netherlands and artist Ramón Trigo. This event is conceived as a platform for scientific collaboration, knowledge exchange, and cultural connection.
