Behind every great researcher lies not only curiosity and persistence but also the ability to manage pressure, uncertainty, and high expectations. In today’s academic culture, where “busy” is often mistaken for “productive”, stress can quietly accumulate, leading to exhaustion, self-doubt, and disconnection from the joy of research.
This interactive workshop explores the psychology of stress, resilience, and sustainable performance. Participants will learn how to recognize early signs of overload, understand the science behind their stress response, and apply practical tools to restore balance and focus. Through guided reflection and discussion, we’ll also address one of the toughest challenges in research: communicating needs and boundaries clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
By the end of the session, participants will have a deeper understanding of their own stress patterns and a personalized toolkit for maintaining wellbeing and motivation, so they can continue to thrive, create, and contribute meaningfully to their work over the long term.
After the practice, we’ll host a borrel to connect with other CENLers.
