On May 30, we held our Career Development Workshop – Navigate Your Next Step! at Bar Beton, Utrecht Central Station. The session was designed to help attendees reflect on their professional futures using practical tools and a strategic perspective. In a welcoming, participatory atmosphere, we explored how to make more thoughtful career decisions—whether in academia or industry—and how to shape the next professional step with greater clarity and confidence.
The session was led by Dr Chiat Cheong, whose experience and approach made the workshop especially valuable for those navigating a transition or reconsidering their career direction. Participants had the chance to reflect on their strengths, values, and goals, and take away concrete ideas to help guide their professional paths. The workshop combined reflection, shared experiences, and practical exercises, making for a lively and engaging afternoon.
To round off the event, we enjoyed a borrel with drinks and snacks—the perfect setting to continue the conversation, network, and build connections in a relaxed atmosphere. Through the conversations and ideas we shared, it was clear that the event offered not only useful tools, but also a sense of community and mutual support. Thank you to everyone who took part.
